Day 348 - Calling
I think this is the second time in my life when I have a job that I love and is intellectually stimulating in a way that is special to me. Of course, I am grateful for all my jobs and all that I have had the chance to learn and all the people I have met… However, I truly love what I do now…
I sometimes sit in my office and feel this deep gratitude that I am finally able to do something that gives me so much joy. I love the fact that I will always have something new to learn, that I have to get better, that I am helping people, that my brain is working… I am also grateful to be part of a community of attorneys willing to help each other. The estate planning lawyer I happened to sit next to last October at the Hawaii Tax Conference… well, meeting her was a gift. I am learning so much from her and our collaborations. It is a gift to have someone to encourage you and believe in you. And even though we have met each other only once in person, every time we speak, I leave our zoom meetings feeling more confident in myself and the road I have chosen.
The fact is this… some people are out there trying to cut your wings off and others are there to help you fly.

I am off to my first Wanda Sykes show tonight… And below is a short video that cracks me up EVERY SINGLE TIME. In case you want to check out why your moms get a little crazy sometimes… a chance to learn.
